Every April, Southern California ushers in a new car show season. The kickoff is marked by the annual Fabulous Fords Forever Car Show, which takes place at Knott’s Berry Farm. This is quite possibly the largest Ford-only gathering on the West Coast. Virtually every type of Ford ever built is on display. For Mustang enthusiasts, this event is paradise as Mustangs dominate the show field. This car show is a "can’t miss" event for any Ford fanatic.
We rounded up a stampede of Mustangs for the Knott’s show on Sunday April 25th, managing to gather 65 Mustangs and organized a caravan from GTR to Knotts. For many participants the Mustang cruise, that was the highlight of the day. To see a convoy of 65 Mustangs cruising down the highway is truly special. Our 45-mile cruise to the show allowed ample opportunity for the Mustangs to stretch their legs a bit. With traffic being light (by Southern California standards), it allowed the caravan to have a leisurely drive. Although, when the open-road beckoned the pace was quickened!
Mustang enthusiasts rendezvoused early at GTR and mingled for about an hour and then hit the road. While waiting for the cruise to begin, the 65 Mustangs that had gathered began an impromptu car show of their own, lifting hoods to show off. This provided a casual way to meet new Mustang fans, share stories and bench-race with others.
